Bryn Payne is the Vice President (VP) of Project Management Office (PMO) for Poseidon and brings with him over 30 years of Information Technology experience.  Bryn has served a variety of roles, in the military, contracting and commercial IT industries and organizations.  His roles have included: Director, Program Manager, Senior Project Manager, IT Team Lead, Systems Analyst, business (both commercial and government) consultant and Small Business Entrepreneur.

Bryn’s program management arsenal includes:  multi-million dollar software and system programs – leading teams of senior IT support personnel on high-charged consulting objectives for US government efforts, establishing and reinforcing business and organizational processes to be used on a global scale; assigned and directed project managers, using multiple phases of analyses and methodologies to derive the best approach (DDP –  Determining, Documenting and Presenting) to executive leadership – provisioning for optimal ROI, as well as best support for the 60K+ global end-user community; Executor of $800K consulting effort, providing direct managerial oversight on an information technology contract – staffing programming, development and technical support personnel for a global 60K+ worldwide government user base; Guide in all aspects of business (P&L, hire/fire, strategic business development and objectives) for the southeastern United States, building credibility, establishing rapport, and maintaining communication lines with stakeholders at multiple levels including internal and external to the organization.   Provider of key analysis, leadership and direction to IT staff and 15+ concurrent running efforts and projects, directly supporting the hardware and software specific requirements of 230+ sites and 1000+ employees; Direct point on projects and contractual program management oversight (organizational and employee goals, project scheduling, progress tracking, direction and refinement of direction, etc.) for enterprise-wide Research and Development center, directly supporting the software and system – cradle-to-grave efforts – of world-wide 50K+ end-user community requirements.  Manager of client engagement services and solution implementations, collaborating with senior management in the preparation of comprehensive project plans for enterprise initiatives, including cost estimates, risk identification and risk mitigation, as well as maintaining project scope, identifying significant milestones to be reached by the organization, and any improvements needed by the organization to further refine their services and solution sets.  An example of project, include a cradle-to-grave effort on two major hardware and software cross-domain solutions, directly impacting the organization’s Intelligence community.  Employed hands-on direction on hardware and software testing, integration, deployment and functional user testing; involving project and resource planning across multiple internal and external communities of interest, vendors, and evaluators nation-wide

Bryn’s education comes from an Associate’s Degree in Communications Information Systems, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Management and a Masters of Business Administration from Saint Leo University, in Florida.  Energetic in professional and community activities, Bryn is a certified member of the Project Management Institute, belongs to the local Tampa Bay – PMP® Chapter, and certified as an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL® ) practitioner.

As a 20-year United States Air Force veteran, Bryn has been stationed at various assignments – worldwide – distinguished by being awarded the United States Strategic Command’s NCO of the Year, and honored as a member of the Top 13 NCOs in the United States Air Force.
